On second thought, forget it
The link below points to the contents of a patent application that DealBird's parent company, Interactive Innovation Group, filed in March of 2011. By March of 2012 the team no longer felt that the application covered aspects of the business that we wished to protect. We now present the patent application to you for your reading pleasure :-)

DealBird.com puts the Group Back in Group Buying
Dealbird.com announced it launch this past week at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco. The new company’s CEO, Chad Billmyer, said DealBird’s goal is to help consumers and merchants to start, manage, and complete group buys.
Looking at the site, DealBird appears to be a sort of daily deals social network where users can create their own buying groups and get others to join their community. Merchants then offer relevant deals to these communities. The larger the community, the better the deals.

Dealbird.com Launches Online Group-Buying Tools for Enthusiast Communities at Techcruch Disrupt Conference
Following three months of alpha testing in Rhode Island, DealBird sheds its look and feel as a consumer-driven deal website to focus on providing buyers and sellers in enthusiast communities with e-commerce, group-buying tools.
Monday at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference, DealBird released a new website designed to help buyers and sellers in enthusiast communities start, manage, and complete group buys. DealBird.com ( http://www.dealbird.com ) gives buyers and sellers the tools they need to save money through group buying.
“This week's launch focuses on a handful of communities that are already actively engaged in group buys such as automotive, outdoor, homeschool, and fitness enthusiasts,” said Chad Billmyer, CEO and co-founder of DealBird. “Buyers and sellers in these and other enthusiast communities currently suffer from a lack of online tools to start, manage, and complete group buys.”
