Dealbird.com announced it launch this past week at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco. The new company’s CEO, Chad Billmyer, said DealBird’s goal is to help consumers and merchants to start, manage, and complete group buys.
Looking at the site, DealBird appears to be a sort of daily deals social network where users can create their own buying groups and get others to join their community. Merchants then offer relevant deals to these communities. The larger the community, the better the deals.
